Today we learned how to make easy codes on Code Bender. I worked with my classmate Peter on making a code that repeated a phrase on the laptop. I used the serial print to tell the software what to say and the loop made it say it again and with the small delay. This was my first code and I am excited to do more.
Later in the packet, we made lights blink alternatively in Chapter 2. With the help of my partner Peter we connected the Arduino to the breadboard with wires and resistors. We put LEDs in and coded to make them blink with one blinking 2x more as they alternate.
Today in Chapter 3 of our Arduino project we implemented a button to control alternating lights with one blinking and the other not. We connected a total of 6 wires, 3 resistors, 2 LEDs, and one button. One LED is always lit but when you press and hold the button the other button lights up and blinks as well. This was a longer code than most and had more complex commands, if and else loops.
